With finger on the pulse of trends in real estate, Grupo Real del Mar announces their new project, Alamar. Located on the upper highway side of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Alamar offers amazing views of the bay with a detailed study provided to indicate each position. In fact, each additional detail proves the undertaking is a completely new take on how to proceed in this amazing property with over 100 acres of hilly ocean-view terrain.
More than just a residential complex, Alamar will be a pueblo planned and built from the ground up. In about five phases, the plans include 18 low-rise towers within the topography that will be left in its natural state with trees, hills, dales and waterways intact. Looking back on the resounding success of Real del Mar, developer Claudio Leone Lamadrid says, “This is our most ambitious project to date. It’s basically about a lifestyle rather than just a residence or an investment.”
Phase One will begin construction in spring of this year. “We don’t plan to disturb even a clod of dirt,” says Alejandro Escobar, project coordinator. “Other than what is necessary for construction. We’ve created the entire development based on the existing landscape, each hill to remain with its natural vegetation.” At the entrance to Alamar stand two large trees, dual witnesses to the respect and reverence that will keep them standing sentinel for perhaps another century. Beyond the trees on the rise will be the commercial center for residents of Alamar and La Cruz. With a great view of the sea, expect the convenience of a bank, store, café, post office, even a hardware shop. Included will be the Discovery Center with Internet access, meeting space and offices.
To bring Alamar beachside, the designers created a pathway to the sea. With a first class beach club right on the popular Manzanilla Beach of La Cruz, the sea-washed sand will allow for a palm-lined hideaway with all the services at hand, reflecting a concept similar to the one at Real del Mar, also created by Fernando de Haro. A highway underpass will provide access to residents of Alamar with the three-phase beach club including a large pool area with palapa restaurant for families and groups, a separate adults-only area, also with its own Infinity pool, gymnasium and work-out area and finally, a protected kiddie pool and play area.
Each of the towers in subsequent phases will be designed by a different team of architects, giving a cohesive concept but not a postage stamp reproduction, more like a town that grows up reflecting a period or era. Included in the concept is the central pueblo, creating a small-town feel with first-level businesses, such as stores, dry-cleaning, pharmacy, notary, deli, three restaurants and club, with the upper story serving as a residence, similar to coastal towns in Europe. “It will be a point of encounter,” adds Claudio. The interior rolling terrain features two small lakes that will be highlighted with small kiosks for family gatherings with barbecue grills and outdoor tables. Among the trees and throughout this central wooded area will be a running track and small workout or warm-up areas.
