Marina La Cruz

This intriguing project combines three phases in a plan that includes a malecon, marina slips, a fish market, restaurants and bars, boutiques, a dry dock marina, parking, condominiums, a resort hotel and landscaping. The first phase includes the marina, with a total of 386 slips for boats and yachts, a major landfill undertaking required to actually move the shoreline to allow for the majority of the construction. The malecon will be built around the semicircular bay of La Cruz, with walking access to the main plaza just a block into town.

Local restaurants and bars will move into accessible spaces in this phase, scheduled for completion by fall 2007, also to include the dry dock marina and underground parking for 1,000 cars.

The second phase will begin with the construction of a landmark building, something unique to the area, with six-story towers offering a total of 250 residences. The final phase will be the 10-story resort hotel, with approximately 400 rooms. The second and final phases are scheduled for completion by about Christmas of 2008.
