Costalegre Development Alliance Announced [Feb 3, 2010]

Last week in Guadalajara an important alliance was formed, which could could prove to be pivotal for future development along the coast of Costalegre, just south of Puerto Vallarta.The Jalisco State Pension Institute has aligned with Rasaland Development to develop 1,200 hectares for a future real estate mega-development that, in the words of the Governor of Jalisco, Emilio Gonzalez, could one day rival Cancun.

The development, which is currently called “Chala”, is located just north of Las Alamandas and Careyes in the heart of Costalegre on a peninsula, surrounded on one side by ocean and the other by two large estuaries. The government of Jalisco is also involved indirectly by improving infrastructure in the region. A new air strip, capable of handling international flights, is set to be completed this year and is just five minutes from Chala. As well, road improvements will comment to widen highway #200 from Puerto Vallarta, as well as the highway from Guadalajara that passes through Melaque.

The state pension fund will invest $89 million dollars while Rasaland will invest $94 million dollars. A total investment will exceed $300 million when completed. Although development is in process, it is not expected to begin any formal construction development or marketing until 2012.

Nahui Realtor Presentation [Dec 10, 2009]

Yesterday Riviera Nayarit’s newest real estate development, Nahui, was launched with an afternoon lunch for Realtors on the future development site at Destiladeras Beach in Costa Banderas. This 2,100 acre development has begun sales and marketing for their first phase, which will encompass a town village on the beach, sites for timeshare and hotels, condominiums developments and residential lots and homes on the hillside above and behind the town village. Marketing and sales for Nahui will be handled by Wally Lopez and Jonathon Smart of Riviera Partners and Brock Squire of Coldwell Banker - La Costa. It is being developed by C&C Capital, a Guadalajara-based real estate development company, has announced two large mega-development projects for 2010, Nahui and Punta Raza, with sales commencing in December and January. Nahui has over 4.5 km of oceanfront and more than 243 meters of elevation change. The highway to Punta Mita, at least the stretch from La Cruz to the hotel Paladium will ultimately be relocated behind this property, freeing up valuable coastal property. The new access point will be on the easterly side of the new development of Alamar in La Cruz. Phase I of Nahui will include sites for timeshare development called Tau Nahui resort, an anchor hotel, and for a collection of small boutique hotels and residential product options, homes and homes sites, built onto the hillside behind overlooking the bay.
